When we approached Zoe Scaife of Northern Pilates, we encountered a unique proposition. Here was a Pilates instructor conducting her classes from her own home in Huddersfield, creating a warm, inviting environment for her clientele. The prospect of encapsulating this through video was a challenge we eagerly accepted.
Our initial endeavour was to create a promotional video. This wasn’t merely an advert, it was a visual doorway into Zoe’s home studio. We sought to capture the tranquillity of her space and the life-changing potential of her training. Through our lenses, Zoe’s welcoming home studio and her expertly guided classes came to life, drawing in viewers and encouraging them to embark on their own wellness journey.
Recognising the broad appeal of Pilates, we didn’t stop there. We set out to create four additional short videos, each specifically tailored to reflect a different demographic. From the busy professional in search of life balance to the older adult looking for a gentler exercise routine, we crafted narratives that resonated with their experiences.
Our cameras didn’t just record these stories, they allowed viewers to see themselves in them, establishing a connection between Zoe’s home studio and potential clients. The final collection of videos was more than just marketing material; it was a tapestry of experiences and aspirations, echoing the inclusivity and universal appeal of Zoe’s practice. For us, this project served as an affirmation of the power of storytelling through videography, breathing life into the unique vision of a home-based Pilates studio.
